Bounce Back! Is a preventative whole-school based social and emotional learning program. It has been developed to support schools and teachers in their efforts to promote positive metal health and wellbeing in their students and, in particular , to enable them to act resiliently when faced with challenges and adversity. The program predominantly focuses on classroom strategies and activities that teach students those positive social and emotional skills that might best be described as ‘life skills’. Bounce Back! Also focuses on ways to develop the types of learning environments and teacher-student relationships that offer resilience and wellbeing.

We at St Anne’s have adopted this program to ensure our students acquire the knowledge, attitude and skills to:

· Recognise and manage their emotions

· Set and achieve positive goals

· Demonstrate caring and concern for others

· Establish and maintain positive relationships

· Manage difficult situations and times resiliently

· Make responsible decisions

· Handle interpersonal situations
